Hi everyone
I am finally back here after close to a week. I have a great time in Chiang Mai and I bought quite lots of papers and handicraft stuff and of course, clothes. I hope to be sharing on my trip in next few days.
Yesterday night, I finally watched ‘Julie and Julia’ via Demand TV. Has wanted to watch it since it was released but it’s tough for me to find time to watch a movie. Finally, I saw that it was on Demand TV. It’s definitely a ‘must-watch’ for all who love cooking. So inspired to cook different stuff while watching the show.
And as for the lazy Sunday today, I managed to do up a birthday card for my colleague cum good friend. She’s of the same age as me but she’s already a mother of four. Though she’s working full time, she is also very devoted to her kids, hubby and parents and always wanting to provide the most for them even at the expense of spending lesser on herself, be it time or money. As a friend, she is definitely one of the most generous and selfless person I ever met. So, I do cherish this friend of mine alot and I have made this Domestic Goddess Birthday Card specially for this great mum and friend.
Happy Birthday to you, Christine!
For the card base, I have used the white AC cardstock and I used patterned paper from Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess pack and DCWV Retro stack. As for the stamped images, they are all from hero arts. I have stamped them using distress inks. I have also distressed the papers to give a more vintage look.
This is my first time doing easel card and I find that it is actually very easy to do. You can do it with any shape for the card, just remember that the card base must be twice the size of the easel panel and you must have a ‘stopping’ mechanism (for my card, it is the ‘Happy Birthday’ tag which I pop up using foam dots).
Sweet one!!! i love the colour combo sooo much.
